Terms and Conditions

We provide these services to you through our website and those services are provided to you on the basis of these terms and conditions.  Please note that they may vary from time to time, without notice to you.

Placing an Order

Orders can be placed via our website, this service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week unless stated otherwise.

You can also place orders over the phone by calling us on 01522 567203.  Our customer order line is open between 9 am and 5 pm.  If we don’t answer straight away leave us a message and we will get back to you.

Pricing Policy

All published prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.

All prices are subject to change without prior notice.  

Payment Policy

Credit Cards

All payment must be made in UK sterling (GBP) and must be made at the time of placing the order by credit or debit card.  

Goods will be dispatched only after funds have cleared.  

Cheques

If you prefer to pay by cheque, please print out your order form and send it to:

The cheque should be made out to “Screaming Green” and should have your card details and order number written on the reverse. Please understand that goods cannot be sent out until the cheque has cleared our account.

Delivery

We endeavour to dispatch all in stock items ordered by 10am on the same day.  However, we do have little people and there may be times when this is not possible.  In this case, we will dispatch your goods the following working day or let you know if there is going to be a problem.  We want to be able to offer our customers a wide selection of products.  Please see each individual items for a dispatch time. 

We aim to have all urgent and consumable items such as wipes, liners and disposables dispatched within 24 hours.  Nappies that are available in a wide selection of sizes and colours may take up to five working days before they are dispatched.  This is because it is impossible for us to hold a large stock of each colour and size at all time but we don't want to restrict you to just plain old white!  We hope you understand. 

If you order is urgent, do drop us and email.  We can very often send the order in two stages.

Please do not feel you have to receive your order straight away.  We are more than happy to keep hold of your order until such time as you are ready have your house taken over by baby  paraphernalia!

Postage and packing

UK mainland postage and packing costs are £3.95 per order or free on all UK orders over £60.00.


For orders outside of the UK mainland please contact us for postage rates. There is no flat rate for international orders, postage will be added based on the destination and the weight of the order.
 

We know that you won't always need to spend £60.00 with us as real nappies don't require large on going costs, so we recommend buying liners and nappy wash in bulk. We will also offer regular discount codes for free or low cost postage on nappy liners and other light consumable products. We will do the same when we launch new products that you will be desperate to try out, so do keep in touch with us on facebook and twitter and feel free to pass these discount codes on to friends.

Please note under the terms of our distributors we cannot ship BumGenius and Motherease outside of UK.

We are happy to deliver to an address other than your home address if this is more convenient or in a safe place.  We can not guarantee the courier will leave the parcel there or be held responsible if something happens to any parcel left in your designated safe place.

If you do not receive your parcel within ten working days, please contact us as soon as possible.  If for any reason a parcel is not collected and is returned to us, you may be required to pay additional postage costs for the items to be resent.   

As a green business, we reuse packaging where possible. We reuse all boxes that are sent to us from our suppliers and often receive old boxes through freecycle.  Don’t be alarmed if your products arrive in a crisp box with the nappies used as padding for more fragile items.  


Returns

How do I return faulty goods?

Although we try to check all stock before being sent out, the occasional fault will go unnoticed and we will be happy to take back damaged or faulty goods, and refund your money including return postage costs. You must take responsibility for getting the goods back to us so we suggest getting a ’certificate of posting’ (free of charge) so that you can claim compensation from Royal Mail if the goods do not reach us.

Please be sure to include a note of what the problem is, as well as your name, address, telephone number and original order number.

No Quibble Return Policy

We know what it’s like being a new mum – You can change your mind !

Goods can be returned, if unused, unwashed and in re-saleable condition, within 30 days of delivery. If you wish to return something beyond this time please contact us, we understand what it is like to be a new parent and will do all that we can to help.  Unfortunately, we will be unable to offer a cash refund but we will however, help you find the right product for your family.

We recommend trying a couple of your real nappies before you wash and use all of them.  That way if you really don’t get on with them, you can return the unused ones.  We will then re credit you account with the total value of the returned unused items so that you can order something different. 

We will refund you the cost of the product but you must pay for the cost of returning the goods to us and postage and packing charges if applicable. We strongly suggest that you get a ’certificate of posting’ from your post office (free of charge) so that you can claim compensation from Royal Mail should the parcel not reach us.

If the goods have a retail value of more than £28.00 you will need to use a Royal Mail service that includes additional insurance to cover your goods should they go missing on route to us.

If you received free postage and packaging on your order we will deduct this cost from your credit note.
