Nappy Library
- What is a nappy library?
- In a nutshell, a nappy library allows you to try before you buy and therefore helps you to buy with confidence and avoid expensive mistakes. In the future we hope to extend our library to lend newborn nappies and wraps and potty training products over longer periods.
- Why borrow before you buy?
- All babies come in different shapes and sizes and therefore each nappy fits each baby differently. Trying the nappies on a real baby with real poo helps you decide which nappy will fit best. Trialling the nappies first is also useful if you need convincing that you can cope with real nappies and also to test run your drying facilities.
- How does it work?
- Complete the form below to register your interest. We will then contact you to let you know when the library will be available for use. At this point we will send you a copy of our terms and conditions for you to print off and post/email back to us. We will also include an invoice for your deposit and any postage and packaging costs. We will then send you the relevant nappy library and accessories as listed below. You use the nappies as if they were your own for ten days. Please then return them to us washed and ready for the next user. Be assured that we are on hand throughout your trial and can answer any questions you might have. All our nappy kits come with full instructions.
- How much does it cost?
- We will ask for an initial deposit of £75.00 plus a postage and packaging fee of £7.50. If you choose to go ahead and purchase real nappies from us we will waive the cost of the trial on any purchases over £100.00. If you decide real nappies aren’t for you, we will deduct a fee of £20.00 from your deposit. Unfortunately, postage and packaging costs are non refundable. If you wish to collect the nappy library from us, arrangements can be made. If you do not want to borrow certain items from the library to keep your return postage and packaging costs down, let us know and these items won’t be sent but the library fee will remain the same.
- When should I book the library?
- We would recommend booking the library as soon as possible to ensure you get to borrow the kit when it is most convenient to you. Some people like to borrow the kit while their baby is very new. However, do bear in mind the first couple of weeks can be very hectic. Most real nappy sizes start at around 8lbs so if your baby is smaller than this you might not get a true reflection of the ability of the nappy. In this case, we would recommend purchasing a couple of newborn baby wraps and using a terry square or a muslin square inside the wraps.
